[SOLVED] Frame drops/ spikes when playing games on a beefy PC

hey, just wondering if anyone could figure out why i get frame drops and fps spikes in games. my specs are gtx 1070, i7 6700k, 16gb ram 3000 mhz. my motherboard is a LENOVO SKYBAY (U3E1). my hard drive is a 931GB Seagate ST1000DM010-2EP102 (SATA ). 430 watt bronze power supply. ive tried loads of things like factory reseting, installing new drivers. changing nvidia control panel settings and other stuff. does anyone know why this could be happening, because im getting good fps just spikes in fps that make the game freeze for a split sec. cheers

hey, my specs are gtx 1070, i7 6700k 16gb ddr4 ram 1tb 7200rpm hardrive 430watt bronze power supply. i frequently get fps drops/lag spikes in games but not others. for an example i get them in minecraft, rust, Swtor, Pubg, Mordhau. but my other games like Star wars battlefront 2, rocket league...

nope. it comes on monday. but ive done a couple of other threads. and people have been saying i need to get is replaced, but it wont effect my performance. so im just confused to the max on what it could be. either way im getting a new PSU tho. and i dont know if it could be my motherboard cause i dont know if its good, or if its just a crap lenovo one they put in there.

If not the psu then maybe gpu default driver installed by windows, also it can be hdd.
