DCS is the most obvious example, but it's in all games. Happened after the recent Windows update. I have tried frame capping, graphics driver update. Have not updated BIOS (scary).

ASUS TUF x570-PLUS

R7 5800x

3070ti

49GB RAM (yes, it's weird. yes, it's all the same speed & manufacturer. No, I've never had a problem with it. 2x16gb and 2x8gb)

Anyone know what this is called? How do I fix it? I've had it happen ages ago, but I don't know if/how I fixed it.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

If you think that's not an issue, there are threads on this forums dating back a decade that would say mixing and matching ram kits are pretty much hit or miss and we tend to gravitate towards stability instead of a hodgepodge setup.
