Frame rate 30fps vs 60fps

Recently I did some testing regarding frame rate (because everyone PC goes crazy if their game doesn't handle or is locked at 30fps) and I discovered that the only difference I manage to see between the two is that 60fps was slightly less jittery than 30fps.

So is there something I'm specifically supposed to be looking out for? because I don't think that frame rate is that much of a deal, barring anything under 15fps being unplayable (for me at least).

It is a smoothness (less jitter) issue, that's 'all'. Personally I find some degrees of jitter to be nauseating, even in film.

It's bit like travel sickness sometimes. I can't watch Chronicle or Blair Witch Project without feeling like I'm going to puke.

The jittering is a much less severe effect though.

What do you look for when looking at a monitor to determine what 30fps is or what 60+fps looks like?

Travel sickness? I've played and watched 30fps my whole life, often worse. I don't think I can relate when you compare it to "Travel sickness"

the distance between frames, so for an object does it seem to move in big jumps or little jumps, little jumps is better.

Some are more susceptible to it than others.

Well it seems really overrated. There's little to no point crying about it when it doesn't even matter unless you go like below 20.
