I am running at 1440p I want to get that out first! my specs are FX 8350 GTX 780TI 8GB RAM. I noticed lower frames than expected running BF4 on ultra settings using FRAPS. Frames were sporadic, when not moving around 50, when on the move I noticed them jumping all over the place between 35-70 got very annoying. So I put the preset to high settings and noticed no difference. My brother in law is a Intel fan boy and keeps ragging on the 8350 as my issue is he correct or is this just a flaw in my system? My Gforce driver is up to date and I was looking for an expert opinion on this matter thanks.

Do you record to the same drive the game is installed to?

Oh, if you just use it to see fps then that's not an issue.

You can enable fps overlay thru bf4 itself:

Hit the tilde key (~) while in game to bring up the command console. Then, type the following command:
perfoverlay.drawfps 1

You can also add this FPS command to the user.cfg file so it is enabled automatically each time you run the game.

If you don't have a user.cfg then paste that command in notepad save the file and then rename it user.cfg and put it into the bf4 directory where the .exe file is.

Those fps seem to fall in line for ultra 1440p for that gpu.

Turn down msaa.

Is your 8350 overclocked?

Nvidia shadow play is far better than Fraps............
Fraps requires more space to record a video...but shadowplay does it in a small space............
So there is no problem with your AMD CPU...........
Nvidia shadow play comes with the Nvidia drivers...............
