frame rate locked to 60 hrtz

I recently built new computer, my monitor is the mg279q my gpu is the 1080 fe, i have a display port cable but when i go to advanced display properties there is not option for 144 hrtz and 2560x1440p. i am running windows 10

i went onto to nvidia control panel to create a custom resolution but after i did the monitor blacked out
