i have a sli capable mother board, if i use 2 sli cards will this improve my frame rate. what is the best gpu. i mostly play world of warcraft, startrek online and medal of honor.

If you enable SLI, and the applications support (and have such enabled), yes.

What is your monitor resolution and CPU? I highly doubt you need SLI for WoW...

Two cards in sli will definatly increase your fps The question on the best gpu is a matter of personal preference. The two card makers are very close and you will do well with either. One thig you might try is to look at some benchmarks when Tom's Hardware does a comparison and see if your games are included in the benchmarks. It does seem to me that the two card makers have certian games that thier cards work better with and it has to do with the drivers. Amd might display WOW better than Nvidia and then Nvidia might display Call of Duty better than AMD and so on.

my resolution is at 1360 by 1024, and my cpu is a amd dual core be-2300 1.9ghz.

your CPU is so slow beyond belief it wouldnt matter what video card you put in the slowness of your cpu will be the limiting factor in the FPS you get. you also need a beefy power supply to run cards in SLI and i doubt you have one.

That is an odd resolution. Are you sure that's correct?

Generally speaking, you really do not need a SLI or Crossfire setup for resolutions below 1680 x 1050. Of course if you are SLI'ing two weak video cards, then that's a different story. However, there is really no point in SLI'ing two weak video cards at all, it's generally better to buy a single moderately powerful video card.

Personally, if you're having trouble playing your game you may as well just make a whole new build, provided you can afford it (and if you're seriously considering SLI, you probably can 😀)

i was thinking about buying a Phenom X4 9950 (HD995ZXAJ4BGH),2.6GHz,125W,rev.B3,SocketAM2+,Quad-Core for a cpu upgrade. as for the power supply, the one im using is 5 years old so it will get replaced with an sli upgrade.

IMHO one GTX560 should suffice, then maybe get another in a year or so if you feel you really need it. I honestly can't see any reason why you would need SLI at that resolution. Unless you're planning on upgrading to 1080p or higher, of course.

i am wanting to go 1080p but my little ati card dont like it.

i have the xfx radeon hd 4350 with 1gig of ddr2. its pci-e card. it will go to 1080p but evry thing look like cr@p.

Ya that's definitely a pretty low-end card. But for those games, I would still suggest not doing SLI, and maybe buying an SSD or buying the second card later. MMO's just never strike me as that graphics-intensive...

That's far more likely to be your Internet speed. Any dedicated graphics card (and even most modern integrated ones) should be able to play Netflix, in HD, fullscreen. That could also be your CPU, but I doubt even that. What speed is your Internet connection?

Yes, this exactly. I should have stated this in my previous post in the thread, but I just couldn't help with my response

my internet is done through a linksys wmp600n wireless-n dual-band adapter. i have 4 to 5 bars on my signal stregnth, and windows says 48 mbps. the modem is a dsl. but if i change out my video card with a realy old 128 meg nvidia gt8500 my netflix quality is alot better.
