Hi, so I recently bought a second hand pc, with decent specs, but when I got it home and downloaded Rust, I noticed very good framerates and then suddendrops from 60+ fps to around 20fps. Don't say its a problem with Rust being in early development, because its the same for every game. Another, good example I used was DOOM, it runs smoothly and then drops again. I have replaced the case, because it was grotty and dirty, bur have not gone into the cpu heatsink properly to replace the thermal compound or check for lack of contact. When I was playing Rust I was checking back at my cpu temps on overdrive and notice they were 15 - 20 degrees, which is obviously not right.
Personally I think a check on the old heatsink and some new thermal compound will help a lot, because the cpu is probably throttling. What do you guys think???!

PS: AMD cool n quite is disabled, turbo clock is disabled and cpu core frequency is set to 4200mHz
