Frames Rates & Cables.

Hello all,
Would one experience better/worse frames depending on the cable used?
Scenario: 4k gaming on a 1070 with i7 6700k 16gb ram.

Cables in question are HDMI & DP.

If the connection is capable of the res/hz then it doesn't matter. In this case the monitor needs to support hdmi 2.0 and it should be a high speed hdmi cable if not dp.

The GTX 1070 has both Display Port version 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b so both should deliver up to 60Hz on a 4k monitor. Typically Display Port technology seems to be a step or two ahead of HDMI for some reason so if you're concerned just go with that option. Cabling shouldn't matter unless you find them in a dumpster somewhere otherwise its not the cables that matter but the interfaces on the card and the monitor.

Also forgot to add im using a TV for a monitor, but this is a 3D tv, so it has the hz to back it up.. would that matter?

A tv usually is not true hz using interpolation and does not accept a high hz signal since it doesn't have the port to do so. Check the specs.

Get the specs off the samsung site. Bestbuy has incorrect listings sometimes and you can't compare a different model.

It says 3d in specs. It's hdmi 2.0. 60hz input and interpolates up to 240 but you won't be doing that in gaming.
