Hello i have a problem with my pc. The frametime spikes in cs:go which leads to stuttering for half a second. I tried limiting fps but that doesn't seem to help.
My pc specs:
i3 8100
msi gtx 1050ti
gigabyte b360m ds3h motherboard
2x8gb ram crucial ballistix 2400mhz
1x ssd 860 evo 250gb samsung
1x hdd toshiba p300 1tb
seasonic 550w focus plus 80+gold

Im currently on windows 10 pro 1903

What settings are you playing it on?

Did you just start having this issue?

Did it happen in any other games?

Have you checked your CPU / GPU / RAM usage and temps?

Checked for driver/bios/game/windows/etc updates and restarted the computer?

1. Low resolution (1024x768) and low settings
2.I have the issue since i have this computer so almost 1 year.
3. Yes it happens in all games.
4.I checked cpu is about 45-55 degrees celsius and gpu about 50-60 when in game. Im not sure about the usage tho i see some spikes on cpu.
5. Yes i have the latest drivers and i downgraded bios since on the newest the issue was still there.

I am guessing you have the fps set to 60 capped?

You should really be able to play it at better settings than that. I saw people on Youtube playing with similar CPU and same GPU and getting over a hundred fps on 1080p high settings.

I saw a steam guide with some things to do to help with stuttering: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=199958323

And a similar post on reddit:

The temps for your CPU and GPU are fine. The GPU usage should end up very high because games like to steal as much as possible but as long as it is not hitting 100 percent consistently I would not worry about it.

I would suggest looking through those two posts while comparing it to your system files to see what of that might apply to you.

If the issue is only happening while playing that game then that would narrow it down a lot.

Wish I could help more, but if it is just that game, then it something in one of those threads should help a bit. But some people could not get their issues resolved and quit playing. Can only hope a patch comes out for it to fix the issues. Good luck.

Since you said the issue has been going since you got the system, in all your games, and its been so long it could be a number of issues.

It brings us to wondering if something is wrong with one of the components. I would suggest doing CPU stress tests, memtest86, GPU stress test, etc. Keep an eye on the usage and temps you are getting also while doing the tests, while idle, and under normal loads using hardware monitoring and such.

Make sure you don't have any loose connections and that all the fans are working for your case, GPU, CPU, etc.

If you built it yourself, you can handle looking over everything fine. Or did someone build it for you?
