I had two old laptops laying around and decided to see if I could Frankenstein one together because the specs on one are better than my current laptop. I've been tinkering around and have just about everything working properly except a few things. The graphics card is saying "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)" and there are three "Other Devices" in device manager, Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, and USB Controller. I have tried reinstalling drivers, chipsets, Windows updates, and everything else I can find from just googling.

The two computers are an Asus VivoBook V550CA-DB71 as a base and the hard drive from a Toshiba Satellite L645D - S4040. I suspect it's probably because the hard drive is just older and can't run the graphics card properly, but I had read on another forum it could be caused by the USB Controller not working properly. The hard drive is running Windows 7 Home Pro.

Is there any way to fix the three "Other Devices"?

You need to install a clean Windows setup with drivers from the vendor when swapping drives to different system models or you will see issues. You can use the key on the Asus to activate it. The media you can...

Okay, thanks for the heads up on the hard drive not being the issue. I did not run a clean install and can't because the PK is for a factory installed version. The only way I've found to reinstall Windows is with the TOSHIBA Recovery Tool which is showing an error because it isn't attached to the factory computer anymore.

The media you can get from https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-iso-download-tool and then either burn the DVD or use the MS Media Creation Tool to make a USB key.

Unfortunately the sticker for the Asus has completely faded, but that's alright. I can start at step 1 again work from there. Thanks so much for all the help!
