hello all! i have finally made the decision to build my own pc. Since ive always been a console guy, i guess im just looking to see if i need to make any improvements without destroying my already OVER budget build. This does include my peripherals, as that is a cost of a "build", idk why people leave them out lol.

Usually it's because most people building high end systems tend to focus on what's in the tower and build a system around it. That comes first, and everything else comes second. Of course now your choice of monitor is almost as important as the rest of the components you buy as that will determine the kind of experience you get. For $2K you can definitely improve on that a bit:

PCPartPicker part list / Price...
> You can get a 2600 instead and OC it to 2600x speeds. Eventually they both OC to the same limit.

> Get a b450 board unless you are planning to SLI.

> Get a better SSD like Crucial or Samsung. They do not cost much more but much better in performance.

> That EVGA unit should be G3/G2/P2. Rest of the 650w from EVGA are not as good.

Rest is fine.
