I uninstalled FRAPS so I could get dxtory and not have multiple fps counters, but after I uninstalled FRAPS, it still had a mini fps counter at the top left. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Solution
First make sure that the counter is from fraps and not something else, once you do so, do this :
ctrl + alt + delete -> task manager -> background tasks -> search for a task with a name like "fraps.exe" or "fraps32.exe" once you find it force stop it and the counter should go away
LOL, there's no such thing as a phantom FPS counter that keeps running after you uninstall the program using it. Either you didn't actually uninstall it, or you're seeing a different counter, because Fraps does not allow you to record the counter showing in the vid.

I have both Fraps and DxTory retail versions and I can tell you that it makes sense to keep both. Reason being, Fraps takes up less RAM when you just want a counter, and at times DxTory has issues with some games.
