Full games? Some are available, free, legitimately. Just off the top of my
head:
http://www.americasarmy.com
http://www.rockstargames.com (original Grand Theft Auto, think they have one
or two others)
http://tuxracer.sourceforge.net/ (rather unusual and entertaining)
http://gamingonthecheap.tripod.com/ - to get some idea of what's there and
what you can expect - some explanation of what can be found free (or cheap,)
and a few links.

Of course, you can also go "cheap" and just visit Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc.
There's quite a bit at $10 or less (Starcraft, Vampire: the Masquerade, Jedi
Knight II, Star Wars Battlegrounds - not to be confused with Battlefront -
and others.)
