Free graphics driver for latitude d610 windows 7 32 bit

May 25, 2014
After weeks of searching I finally found a needle in the haystack.
Search Hp.com site for the following:

915gm windows vista

Download either 32bit or 64bit version and run the file. Note the installation directory C:\swsetup\sp34749 and remember this is an hp file. You won't find it in c:\Dell\Drivers by default.
Run the file. Ignore message that says not compatible with operating system.

Next go to Start-> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manger
Double click the unknown item with the exclamation mark then update the driver.
Be sure to select search your computer the point to C:\swsetup\sp34749

I hope this helps who everyone out there that wants to squeeze a bit more life out of a useful laptop. I own two Latitude D610 at home and use one at work. In this day and age I'm not about to spend any more money than I need to since Xp expired and Win 7 is the next best option to Win 8.

Last but not least Dell.com does not have any solutions so stop looking there because it won't work. And neither will Intel.com options.

Kauaian, you are DA' MAN! That driver totally worked for Windows 7, thank you very much, now I have no more errors showing in Device Manager and even have extended display to external monitor support. Like you I searched for quite some time on Dell and Intel sites but could not find the right driver, great job in finding this one!!

P..S. for others: Searching on HP's site for "915gm windows vista" did not return a result, but it is the first result that returns in Google search, so just click on that search result and it will take you straight to the download page.
