Free required audio hardware

My window movie maker will not allow me to complete adding videos ,It will stop working when I am adding the videos to the film strip.Please help!!
When I open the arrow next to the storyboard and click on Narrate Timeline.. I get a message saying;

WINDOW MOVIE MAKER CAN NOT BE USED BECAUSE THE REQUIRED AUDIO HARDWARE CAN NOT BE FOUND ON YOUR COMPUTER.

I used this program last year..please help me with this matter.

Are these files that you are trying to add now the same file type as previous times?

Check under properties... if not.. that file may not be supported
