[SOLVED] free software to comvert mpeg to dvd and burn to a usb

hello all.i have a friend with a player that only plays dvd format.i know,but you cant tell him anything.lol.i need a converter to comvert mpeg to dvd format and put it on a usb stick for him.help would be greatly appreciated.
