I have a 1TB SSD with two ~500 GB partitions. My C partition is starting to get full, but the other partition D is almost empty. Will the computer run faster (and drive last longer) if I redistribute files onto both partitions?

No, no difference.
On an SSD, 'partitions' are merely logical things displayed to you, the user. The drive firmware is doing all sorts of weird things in the background as to where things actually are.
