FreeSync 2 HDR monitor with NVIDIA card?

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time poster here,
I was wondering if I were to buy a FreeSync 2 HDR monitor and pair it with my NVIDIA card, would I still be able to activate HDR - or is that tied to FreeSync?

And if I can, would there be higher input lag as opposed to FreeSync? Because I read that FreeSync 2 removes the input lag issues with HDR, but what happens when it's an NVIDIA card and FreeSync can't be activated?

Solution
HDR certification is an entirely different process/certification.... so I don't believe it's going to be tied to AMD Cards/FreeSync.
Monitors exist (although limited) without G or FreeSync, yet full HDR support.

HDR alone, doesn't not = input lag (necessarily).
Most input lag reports stemming from users using TV's for HDR support (and TV's, inherently have some input lag).
