[SOLVED] Freesync flickering in certain games all of a sudden

Monitor: Msi Optix AG32CQ
GPU: Evga 1070ti SC
Issue: freesync flickering all of a sudden.

Got the freesync driver installed, turned it on and off I went. Worked fine for a couple of days, and then started flickering in certain games. I have not changed anything, I have no idea what would have caused it to stop working like that.

Games freesync works in still:
Cities: Skylines
Witcher 3
Kerbal Space Program (at least when my fps is high enough lol, but even then doesn't flicker, just tears a bit)

Game freesync no longer works in:
Forza MS 7

Game freesync doesn't work in but I didn't test before issue appeared:
Stellaris

It's only been a week since the driver went live so I haven't played anything else yet...

I don't think it's a driver issue as I have not made any changes there. Also don't think it's a hardware issue as it still works in some games. Read that low framerates could cause it, but the monitor's default freesync range is 48-144hz and I know I'm within that in FM7 at least, so that isn't it either.

Really scratching my head on this one... Can't find any issues similar to it online, hoping someone here has answers.

I get the same problems. It also depends on what background programs are open too. For example, some games perform slightly better with freesync/Gsync if i don't have discord running.
