FreeSync Monitor + Node 202 ITX case = Rx480 or GTX1060?

I am building a small ITX computer, with decent specs for a little gaming every now and then.

I really don't like excessive noise and I worry that the tight fit case can get pretty hot pretty fast, so power management is definitely important here. FYI Ithe psu is a Corsair SF600.

I was considering an Asus Strix due to the (expected) better heat dissipation and thus less noise.

BUT I got my hands on a FreeSync screen and now I started having second thoughts.

- Are Rx480s really that problematic in terms of heat and noise?

- Could a Strix heatsink do any difference, considering such a compact case? (helped by 2 Corsair PWN case fans)

Despite the small (but considerable) price difference, I gathered that the 1060 might be marginally better, but...

- Is FreeSync really worth it? I mean, is the difference really noticeable or is it more of a marketing / hardcore gaming thing?

Finally, one last question: I have been speaking of Asus, but I reckon that other brands may be just as good, in terms of performance and noise / heat suppression.

Should I decide to go for an Rx480, should I opt for a less expensive one, like the Sapphire Nitro+? I mean , will the noise and heat suppression be very inferior to the big dogs? Will they present a problem on a compact build?

Thank you all in advance!

For a mini itx build i'd go with the 1060, as for the cooler, i'd go with a reference one (the blower type one) since space is limited you'll want that hot air out of the case.
