Freesync monitor + RX580 not getting recognized

Hey
Just started using my new pc which has an rx 580 4gb and paired it with an lg 29um68-p which has freesync. I tried to turn freesync on both through the monitor interface and the graphics card interface and in both the option of turning it on doesn´t even appear. Would aprecciate some help cause I would really like to turn it on.
On a side note, bought Crysis on steam and everytime I try to run it, it starts loading and then the "There was a problem running the program. Windows will try to find a solution", appears, something along those lines. Need some help on that too. (already tried to reinstall the game and checked for faulty documents, all appears to be fine).

and did you turn it on? otherwise u dont need to even look in the pc properties

Thats the thing, it doesn´t let me choose it. The other options are in white and the freesync one has a grey tone, almost like a game character that you haven´t unlocked yet, get what i´m trying to say? xD

Edit: Nevermind bro, thanks for the help. Just found out i´m retarded. IT NEEDS TO BE IN DISPLAY PORT. Didn´t know that. Live and learn i guess
