I recently bought a Samsung C24F390FHE curved freesync monitor. I have Freesync enabled on the screen itself and have it enabled in my Radeon Settings however when trying to play Halo Reach, I get terrible screen tearing unless I have V-Sync turned on in game which is obviously not what I should be having to do.. Screens and screen settings are new territory for me so I'm a bit lost as to where I should be looking to get this fixed

Specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Intel i7 5820K
16GB ddr4 memory
RX570 8GB

Solution
Variable refresh, minimal tearing and no input lag within Freesync or Gsync range. Within range, Vsync turns off and only turns on to keep fps where they should be.

What's your frame rates in this game without vsync? Id imagine far over refresh rate yeah?

To keep fps within Freesync range requires Vsync or manual fps cap. Freesync alone wont keep frame rates within variable range.
