Question Freesync not working

I have a vega 64 with the newest amd software updates but i get major screen tearing if i dont have v-sync on. Its as if freesync does not work at all. I enabled freesync in both my monitor and amd settings but it tears pretty bad. It seems to work for maybe 3 seconds occasionally but most of the time it tears. Is this a faulty GPU or a problem with my drivers maybe? Cant seem to figure anything out.

you have within the freesync rang of your monitor. but before you try that in Wattman global settings try going to vertical refresh option and enable ENHANCED SYNC
