FreeSync or 1060?

Hey guys, I just bought this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824022433

It has freesync and somewhere around 60Hz-75Hz

I am in the market for a new graphics card. Should I just get a 1060 for the better performance or an RX 480 for the freesync capabilities? The RX 480 would run about $20 more expensive for me.

Personally, I don't think Freesync and Gsync are necessary features, unless you want extremely buttery smooth gaming. The 1060 outperforms the RX 480 in DX11 and equates it in DX 12, so I would 1060 (if it is the 6GB version).

The RX 480 matches the GTX 1060, and you get Freesync on top. So definitely get the 480.

Its not much faster and the rx 480 is faster in most dx 12 games.
