[SOLVED] freesync with hdmi on nvidia

i have a gtx 1050 ti and i want a to buy a new monitor, the new monitor have freesync but not g-sync nad i saw on google that i still can use the freesync.
i also saw that G-sync only works with displayport and freesync also with HDMI.
now my question is can i use the freesync on my nvidia gpu with hdmi ?(because its supposed to be freesync)
or i have to use DisplayPort (because its nvidia)
