I would like to clone an OS (7 pro 64 bit) currently on a HDD so I can run it from an SSD. Can anyone suggest especially good freeware to accomplish this?

TIA

I've used EaseUS To-Do software. Not sure if free-ware or a trial version, but once my clone was completed, I just deleted the software.

Thanks for the replies. I have a copy of EaseUS To-Do to try 1st, which I'm getting set up to do. Are there any of those infuriating "permission" issues with the OS you're trying to clone?

No. It may require the admin password to run initially, but that's about it.
It will, it it works fully, create a 1-1 clone of your current install on the new drive.
