Freeze for 1-2 seconds while gaming?

Hello there fellow gamers.

I`m creating this thread because I`m out of options regarding my problem. I just don`t know how to solve it and it`s driving me insane.

My system is: i7 7700 (non k)
GTX 1060 3gb (armor edition)
ram 16gb kingston
hdd wd black 1tb
ssd kingston 240 gb

I`m having this problem while I game sometimes the screen just locks for 1-2, like it` s just freezing then coming back to normal.

I run MSI Afterburner to see what`s not working properly and I noticed that when the screen freezes
the RAM USAGE goes down ( everytime ) it`s like when the ram clears the stutter happens.

Someone has any ideas why this would happen?

I couldn't see anything freezing from your video. And the change in ram usage looks insignificant. If you're going to point out that teeny tinny dip in memory, then also note the drop in cpu usage and power consumption happening at the same time.

It could be an issue related to the system using the pagefile. You can also run a ram test just to see it's working properly.

I actually did and it shows no errors on every memory stick that I have.

Also the drop is pretty significant. It goes from 7500 to like 6500 so it`s a 1gb dump..

Also the CPU , GPU and POWER usage do not move while the drop happens.

Where are you running the game from? If it is the hard drive, turn off the power save mode for it. The pause could be the drive idling and needing to be spun up to access some game data.

What about GPU memory? 3GB card at what resolution? If you hit the GPUs memory limit it should use system ram to compensate, which is a lot slower.

Hello Eximo, I ran the games off the HDD and SSD just in case and on both situations it does the same.

I think 3gb is enough for Overwatch since it does not eat many ram.

I also try turning power save mode off and it does not work.

Im out of ideas 🙁
