Hi Everyone,

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this matter. I've just upgraded most of my system and have noticed that when have a (borderless windowed) game running if I alt-tab any browser will occasionally stutter. For example, if I google something and scroll down it will stutter from time to time(each 1-2 seconds). Moving my mouse over my desktop doesn't seem to cause any stutter.

The very weird thing is... that if I activate the AMD Adrenalin overlay (CTRL+SHIFT+O), the stutter goes away. So I would dare say it's not a RAM/PSU issue... would anyone know what this is caused by?

Have the latest BIOS and Chipset/Video drivers installed. Have tried with any possible overlays turned off. Reinstalled with factory defaults as well.

CPU: 7800X3D
MB: Gigabyte B650 gaming X
GPU: 6700XT
RAM: 32 GB DDR 6000 dual channel running EXPO 1 profile
PSU: 650W Gold
Driver: Adrenalin 24.1.1 (tried a different one with the same results).

Thank you in advance.

Additional details:

- Only using one monitor

- I've disabled the AMD Adrenalin in-game overlay completely, and still stuttering

- Ran AMD's cleanup utility and installed the last video driver from scratch. Nothing changed.

- If I run Cinebench R23 multicore, CPU will be at 100% usage but my browsing will still be flawless with no stutter while scrolling.

I get a similar thing if I tab out to Discord to see a comment, etc. I don't use dual monitor any more so otherwise cannot see the console for it. Generally speaking, it will only do so real quick as I tab about and then again when I tab back in if the game didn't auto pause.

To be honest, that wouldn't be something that I would mind too much. In my case, the stutter is permanent as long as the game is in the background and the AMD metrics overlay (showing FPS, CPU usage etc) is turned off.

Only using one monitor :)

Edit: I've disabled the AMD Adrenalin in-game overlay completely, and still stuttering while I write this comment, lol.

Edit2: Ran AMD's cleanup utility and installed the last video driver from scratch. Nothing changed.
