My computer is randomly freezing/shutting down without warning. No noises from the computer to hint at over heating or anything like that. I turned off automatic restart yet that did nothing for me, and i haven't gotten one minidump from the 5-10 times it has done this. i brought it in to a computer repair store and they said the graphics card, power supply and processor are all fine (those were the main questions i asked after they told me they couldn't recreate the problem). I've tried reinstalling windows 10 through the repair mode when it didn't load windows 10 properly one of the times and that didn't help. Almost every time it freezes/shuts down, some of my desktop icons disappear and i can never remember which ones are missing.

Here are my computer specs if thats helpful (let me know if im missing something):

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500k cpu @ 3.3GHz 3.30 GHz
installed memory: 8 GB
system type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

display adapter: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series

make sure the cmos jumper and battery are in and not missing. if the cmos battery is weak or the cmos has gone bad if you can get into the cmos again try and reflash it. if not with a bad cmos your going to have to replace the chip if it replaceable or buy a new mb.
start out with checking the power supply voltages from inside the bios make sure there within atx spec.

downlaod it set it to sensor and logging make sure you try and make the pc crash. see if the pc voltage are holding and you can see in logging if they sag. if they do try a new power supply.

So I forgot to mention that I've seen a message saying "cmos fail". I reset bios settings and that fixed it until I brought it back from the computer place and it shut down immediately after boot without even showing the bios page (idk if that's what you call it). Then it showed the message again. I'll check out the voltages and what not with that program in a few hours when I get the chance
