Hi; i'm in a quandry. This pc is five years old; suddenly on restart, i couldn't get past the splash screen and with my wireless keyboard, couldn't get to bios or boot screen. Had my pc buddy take it home.He took out the memory and it booted up with one stick.He also changed out the HD, thinking that might be part of the problem. i took it home; it hanged again. I plugged in a wired keyboard, restarted and hit del at the splash. I get into the Bios...yay... and saw that it was set to boot from my external hd. i set the boot correctly and i've been using the pc all day, restarted several times without a hitch till just now...stuck again at the splash. Plugged the wired keyboard back in but now del and f8 are unresponsive. Why am i having this issue?
