Freezes on GTA V while playing on EVGA RTX 2080

Hi peeps

I recently purchased my brand new computer with following specs:
I7 8700k
hydro 115i watercooling
Corsair 16 gb ddr4 3600 Ram
1TB samsung evo 970
Gigabyte aorus z370 gaming 7 motherboard
EVGA RTX 2080 GPU

My problem goes as followed:
When I play GTA V on ultra settings (150-160 fps) I recieve huge fps drops every minute.
Dropping from 160 --> 55fps with a screen freeze, makes it unable to play the game.

Does anyone knows how to solve this problem?

PSU= Corsair RM750X 2018 gold
GPU temp: 65°
CPU: No idea
Ram usage 40%
SSD: No idea --> 1TB M2 ssd will be enough I suppose?

I have the same Problem:

Motherboard: Asus Prime B450 Plus
GPU: MSI RTX 2080 X Trio
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700
RAM: 16 GB
Temperatures: All normal cool temperatures
Every Stat is okay.

I play with highest settings and every 20 sec a very little freeze is there.

I dont know how this is possible.

i know this a late answer. but i had the same problem with my RTX 2080, so i ended up here.

I found a fix that worked for me, in NVIDIA Control Panel i changed Maximum pre-rendered frames to 4. Now i have zero stutters

Hi there thank you for your reply! I fixed the problem by selecting directX 12 on all the games..

I did change the values of maximum pre rendered frames to 4 still same problem occuring in my rtx 2060 laptop..Help please
