Freezes on motherboard screen

So I was using my computer and went to shut it down and it needed an update, so I updated and shut down. Went back to use it the next day and it freezes on the mobo screen after about 5 seconds. I have discovered that I am able to get into the bios etc if the button to get to it is pressed quickly but it will then freeze as the bios opens. So basically it freezes after a few seconds of being turned on, regardless of what is pressed
Any ideas?

Was the update it needed a Windows 10 update?
Have you cleared the CMOS on your motherboard?
