Freezing and Corrupted User

Been having an issue with my computer for a couple days now. At least once every single day the computer will freeze for about 10-20 seconds before it restarts itself. Along with this chkdsk refuses to work and I even got an error message once about something in the User/Roaming files being corrupted or not working? Can't remember the error message fully. But if anyone has any solutions or reasons for this then that would be awesome. Thanks

Windows restore points Skullcrusher.
Check when any bit of software or an update was installed on your system over the last four days you say it has been playing up.

Select a restore point from four or five days ago and see if it fixes all of the problems you have been having for the last four days of use.
