I installed Windows 8.1 on thanksgiving, and everything seemed to go alright. I played counter strike for about 20 minutes yesterday until my PC bluescreened. So I reinstalled windows 8.1 a second time that day. While installing drivers, my PC froze and I rebooted to error 0xc000000e. I tried reinstalling windows today and the exact same thing happened, I think it's my motherboard.

Tomorrow, I'll update the BIOS. What else should I try?

I have two 4 GB sticks of RAM. I tried both sticks in the first slot and got the same error.
So I tried the first stick alone in slot 2, that didn't work, then I tried the second stick alone in slot 2 and my PC wouldn't post, and it kept powering on and off over and over.

Probably bad memory then, but still can't rule out mobo issues.
