Freezing/Crashing borderlands pre sequel

Just built a new rig & it's doing great overall, except consistent crashing/freezing in Borderlands Pre-Sequel through steam. Have ran Diablo 3 & Bioshock Infinite (3 games I play right now), both without issues. While playing BL, it will freeze 2 minutes in or 20 minutes in, sound keeps playing and eventually windows crash report about the game comes up. No BSOD, just crash and back to desktop. I'm officially at my wits end with this, many many google searches, forums read & loot not had due to crashing.

I've stress tested both GPU & CPU separately using Heaven Benchmark for GPU & Intel overclock utility for CPU. Let em run for 40 minutes each, no issues. GPU temp stays about 70 celsius & CPU 55 max. During gameplay no where near those temps or usage amount. Iv'e also underclocked the GPU since it comes OC'd from the factory, reduced by 25%.

Drivers- Clean uninstall in safe mode using DDU app. Clean install after restart & not using "Auto Detect" downloaded directly from website before uninstall.
Game- Uninstalled/Reinstalled twice trying different HDD's. Also verified game cashe files through steam.
Hardware Disconnected, removed, installed, made sure connections secure for all hardware. Performed windows memory test for RAM, DXdiag makings sure all that's good, all drivers and component compatibility verified.

Intel i5 6500 @3.2 stock cooler (can't OC)
MSI GTX 1060 6GT OC edition single 6pin connector (factory OC, tried to underclock)
Gigabyte Z710-HD3 mobo
Avexir 4gb x2 DDR4 2400 (came running at 2133 actually) dual channel
Rosewill Hive-650w Power Supply
OCZ arc100 240gb SSD
WD 1tb HD for mainly music/not important programs

I was having issues like this but I modded the cfg files a bit so I un modded and set the physx to high instead of ultra and it hasn't frozen since. I use a 1070 so set your physx lower one if it still happens on high.

Set the physx to Low, still crashing. Its either low or high for the setting, no "off" or I would try that. Also, found a "Fix" about copying DLL files from GPU driver to Game.exe folder, still didn't fix it, made it worse actually lol.

Going to try a driver roll back today, start with the oldest possible GPU driver and test that. Only 3 or 4 have been released, such a new GPU still.
