Freezing during post on error code A2

I'm currently having some issues with one of my builds, made from parts from various other older builds (all of which were functional in this build until recently). The parts list is as follows:

- ROG Maximus V Formula Motherboard

- I7 2700K

- Windforce 970

- 750W PSU

- Kingston SSD Boot Drive

During the boot up process, the computer freezes on the ROG motherboard logo, with error code A2. A2 is apparently an IDE error, but the error occurs with any SSD, SATA cable or SATA port. At this point, I'm fairly sure this error code is not the issue, but rather the code that just happens to appear at the moment it freezes, as I'm unable to access the BIOS.

Things I've tried:

- Turning it off and on again

- Re-seating power cables, fan cables, RAM, CPU, and GPU

- Different boot drives in different ports with different cables

- Resetting CMOS

- Booting without GPU, with less RAM, and without networking card

- Googling intensely to no avail

- Probably a few other things I'm forgetting

Any help is much appreciated! I'm hoping someone else's perspective might help!

It has booted up a few times after the error began to occur. Nothing was particularly different. I placed the side panel back on and it stopped again. This started happening after it was moved between houses.

PSU is Thermaltake Litepower 750W, Left the battery out overnight and no results. The weirdest thing is the very occasional boots.

As mentioned, I have tried different drives with different cables and different ports, as well as no drives at all. Typically an A2 error will let you into the bios, but not in this case.

"This started happening after it was moved between houses. "
Shocks during transportation might damage the components inside, especially if using heavy CPU cooler, or graphics card.
Try testing the board outside the case. Reseat the CPU, CPU cooler, connect the 24 and 8 pin power cables, insert single RAM module (no other wires or components), and test.
