Freezing on startup

As soon as I startup my 98 pc it gets to the main screen no problem then just
freezes and wont let me do anything, even in safe mode. Any ideas to sort
this problem out ?

What do you mean by 'it won't let me do anything'? Exactly what happens when you
try? Are there any error messages?

If it is totally frozen in Safe Mode also, you may have a hardware problem.
