Every time I go on a webpage or watch a video on YouTube, a TV-Show using some software on my computer, It will freeze up and unfreeze after about five seconds and it will do that periodically unless I am just doing simple web-browsing or even on games it doesn't do that from the hours of ArmA 3 i have played since I put this in my system yesterday. My question is: Is my low-end GPU causing these problems ever since I added my 4790k in? These problems weren't occurring before and no matter what I am getting a new GPU within the next 3-4 days but, I just wanna know to be sure a new GPU will solve the issue.

I put in the new motherboard to support socket LGA 1150, a new 4790K and the CPU Cooler (h100i gtx). Yes, I plan on getting a GTX 980 for my 1080p recording and game playing.

Bump, just seems to happen on videos on YouTube no matter what browser I have or Flash version after enabling V-Sync, very odd. For Example: I'll be watching a video then the whole computer freezes for like 2-10 seconds and the audio keeps playing as if nothing is happening and when it unfreezes, it syncs with the audio.

We had a faulty video card come in with that problem. Its weird that YouTube was affected but not other things.
Return the card if still under warranty or just wait until the new card. Remove/uninstall all of the AMD/ATI software before you put in the new card.

please close thread when done.

I have had this R7 260X for a year or so now and it only started occurring when I put in the new 4790k. I hope it is the GPU.

Theres is a chance its software. Id do a format and fresh o/s install with fresh non-beta gpu drivers. if it still happens, its the GPU. But I bet my $ that its the card.

As i said its a weird problem that ive seen before. it was also an ATI card. (cant remember what model) Theres a reason i dont recommend ATI. You want to be painfree as possible you stick with intel/nvidia. return the card if under warranty.

Thanks for the advice! If the GTX 980 doesn't solve it, I will do a fresh OS wipe and all that fancy stuff.
