My specs

  • GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 ti
    CPU: AMD APU A8-7600
    RAM: 8GB
    Hard Drive: 2TB
    Motherboard: MSI Orchid-S
    Power Supply: Corsair CSX600m 600W

To start, I would consider myself a gamer, and a little while ago I upgraded my computers graphics card from radeon r7 graphics to a gtx 750 ti and shortly after I started playing some of the games I have on Steam such as Far Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto V, or Dying Light. Whilst playing those games, it would be about 2-3 hours in where my computer would freeze with a very loud and obnoxious kind of buzzing noise. About couple weeks after, I asked my friend about the issue and he suggested I get a new power supply (which was originally 300W) because it wasn't enough to power everything, so I bought the new 600w one. I had thought that had solved it but the freezing happened again. I have no idea what is going on and any support would be wonderful

*Side note: I was told that the problem is that my computer cant run the game, but if that were the case, wouldn't it just run at a lower frame rate, because I still get about 40-60 fps on these games.

Thank you in advance.

How would I go about updating the BIOS of my computer? (HP Pavillion 500-314; upgraded gpu and power supply)

My Nvidia drivers are already up to date

Sorry for the late response; I went on the support website, and scanned my computer for driver updates, and BIOS wasn't one of them

Yeah, I went to support, looked up my model number, selected the right model, then clicked scan for driver updates and all the driver updates show up but BIOS wasn't one of them. Maybe a pic to see what I should see on my support screen?

If you don't see anything, then don't worry about it.
