French infantry uniforms, WWII

I am painting some WWII French, 1940 version.

I have seen different pictures of uniforms, and the color seems to
vary.

Some look rather green, some look rather brown. An informed opinions
on what the color should be?

It should be an olive or a dark Khaki Green, As per Legion and the
Algerian and Moroccan troops of WW1

However, the dye was unstable, some did tend to brown, others yellow.
Thats why you have the discrepency.
