I have a brand new build with windows 7 64-bit that is about two weeks old. I experience one to two bsod's a day and I recently encountered an issue where windows explorer got stuck in a constant loop of crashing and restarting. What should I do?
You'll need an empty USB stick to put it on. Restart, enter BIOS and select the USB drive as your boot drive, and it should give you some options to start the memory test.

Tried that found that the memory was fine, yet it needed to be running at 1333 mhz rather than 1600.
Here's the Memtest forum sticky thread if you need more info: http://forum.canardpc.com/threads/39168-Windows-HOWTO-Boot-Memtest-on-USB-Drive
So is it fine at 1333 and no more BSOD's? If this is an AMD system they often need ram voltage bumped up a little to run rated speeds in dual channel.
Thanks for the info but with the voltage changes I begin to get some artifacting upon occasion, and it doesnt change my gaming performance to have it at 1333 so im just going to leave it there.

Agreed it is not worth the trouble for max 1 or 2 frames.
