Frequent crashes on startup after SSD install

After installing a kingston SSD on my computer successfully I then went on to install an OCZ Vertex 450 SSD on my friend's computer. It's been nothing but trouble since then.
He has a XPS 630i and most of the time when I restart the computer I get a check disk error before it restarts again and then maybe loads windows successfully. Sometimes it doesn't and gives me boot/bcd error. I've rebuilt the mbr, and bcd and still the same error.
Whenever I go into the BIOS the drive is not fully detected on the Sata port, the drive name says [None] but it does detect the size of the drive, most of the time. When it doesn't it detects as like a 3000 TB drive.
Not sure what's going but there's no firmware or bios updates available for these products.
What else can I do to get it starting succesfully 100% of the time?

Now you know why OCZ is on the verge of bankruptcy. Replace the OCZ with a Samsung or Crucial and enjoy.
