Fresh build, 1 long beep, 3 short beeps

Just got done building my 1st pc and when I power it on, everything lights up and works but once everything is lit up and running the system speaker makes 1 long beep and 3 short beeps, what does it mean, also I'm not getting a display to my monitor either, using the hmdi port on the motherboard.

What motherboard are you using? Check its manual, it should tell you what the beeps mean.

I'm running a gigabyte ax370 gaming 3 motherboard with amd ryzen 5 1500x, I did some research and I think it's because I need a graphics card cause the motherboard has an HDMI port but it only supports it if you're running an apu not cpu, so I'm not sure if I'm right about that but I think that's why..

You don't have a graphics card? Well, that's a new one, but that's definitely your issue. If you want a recommendation on a card, I'd go with a 1050ti/1060. Better if it's in your budget, though.

Yeah, well I thought you could boot it up and atleast install the is and drivers and everything but yeah, lol, I've been thinking on getting a. MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Been looking and it's around $180 plus shipping.

Sounds good. MSI makes some solid cards.
