Fresh build, forced to use wireless connection?

So as the title says fresh built new computer, wont let me connect to wifi for some reason. It's telling me hey I have to use an Ethernet cable which I cannot. Do i have to install drivers or something to be able to connect to the internet via wifi?

Yes, you may very well need to install your network adapter drivers before you can utilize wireless capabilities.

This is a desktop PC?
Did you purchase and install a WiFi adapter? Either USB or PCIe?
Or does the motherboard you have do WiFi? (most desktop motherboards don't)

Yes this is a desktop PC, i have not purchased/installed a wifi adapter im not sure how i would go about doing that since id need internet to install it but you know i dont. and if i did it on another a computer im not sure which one would be the right one to put on a flashdrive
