Question Fresh build has website connectivity problems

I just built my first computer and so far everything has been going relatively smoothly. After I installed the drivers and updated the bios I then tried to update Windows 10 but Windows says it can not connect to the internet. So I tried Microsoft Edge and that works I can use Bing just fine. The problem is that I can not connect to anything besides Edge/Bing search engine components as an error pops up about the security certificate. I am assuming that is why windows can't update. It should not be malware/viruses as it is a fresh build. My guess would be that something did not download or download correctly but I have no clue what that might be. If any of you have an ideas of what it might be and how to fix it it would be much appreciated.

Which motherboard?

Which OS?

Did you download the newest LAN drivers from the motherboard manufacturers site? If so did you restart the system afterwards?

I downloaded the latest lan driver to a usb and restarted the computer but am still having the same problem.

The OS is Windows 10 Home and the motherboard is a MSI B450 Tomahawk.

Thank you for the advise turns out the date and time was set for January of 2018 and fixing that solved my problem.
