I am putting my new system together and getting ready to install the Win 2K. Now it does not have a floppy with it like 98SE had. Should I:

Load 98SE and then 2K

Make a boot disk and attempt to load 2K straight?

Additional suggestions would be most helpful!

You should be able to boot straight off the CD, that's how i've always done it. Just make sure you're CD-ROM is the first boot device and get ready to hit a key when prompted.

Fine choice of OS too!
98, pah, I fart in it's general direction.

set the CD as the first boot device, pop in the win2k cd and boot from it and your set!
no more win98!!!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - George W. Bush's favorite childhood book.

heres the way i'd do it, but im really dumb... i'd install dos, then win3.1 and upgrade to 95, then to 95b, then to 98 and convert drive to fat32, then to 98se, then to 2k and convert to ntfs, throw in a bios upgrade and a few beers and you've got your whole day planned. but like the other gents said, its probably much easier to set your bios to boot to your cdrom. : )

....the crows seemed to be calling him, thought caw....

Damn, that's what I need to do to spend more time away from the old lady!

Now where did I put that pile of about 80 odd floppy disks. Knew they'd come in handy!
