Ok so I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, long story short I need to do a fresh install, however I no longer possess my Windows 8.1 disc (Original plan was to revert to windows 8.1 and reinstall from the disc).

My question is, would I run into any issues in regards to the product key if I was to fresh install Windows 10 from a USB? I've downloaded a program which shows me the supposed product key for my copy of Windows 10, I'm just worried it wouldn't accept it and I'd be stuck without a PC. Any help is appreciated.

I'd probably prefer to stick with Windows 10 as it's pretty decent IMO. So it wouldn't ask for a product key? Awesome, just need to back up my data and I'll reinstall. Cheers man

Just boot override to the USB rather than relying on boot priority. If it still doesn't work remake the USB again but use the tool Microsoft gave you.
