fresh install on ssd

Freshly installed my windows 7 onto my new SSD, installed latest gtx960 drivers and then rebooted- now windows desktop manager is crashing constantly, no aero, and trying all fixes I can find nothing is solving this which has left me going back to my HDD. Any ideas?

Was everything find before you installed the gtx 960 drivers? The resolution would have been really low but were you not getting any crashes (if you checked)?
