Fresh install onto an SSD

I am doing a fresh install of Win 7 Home Premium x64 onto a new Samsung Evo SSD. I've burned the ISO File to a usb to boot from initially. Can I stick my ssd into my laptop right out of the box or does it require any sort of formatting. Thanks!

You cant just put an ISO on a flash drive. How did you copy / extract the ISO to it?

When you install Windows on the SSD, you can format it in the setup screen

I burned it to the flash drive using Rufus

OK well just boot from the flash drive in the setup screen / format / partition it then install windows
