Fresh Install XP?

So I have a old hard drive with windows xp installed on it. When I boot from the drive I get to the windows xp login screen but my mouse and keyboard do not work. Is there anyway to fix this or anyway to perform a fresh install without being able to log into windows xp. When I boot off my main drive (win 10) my pc recognizes the drive with xp on it though.

my guess is going to be that XP doesn't recognize the mouse and keyboard because they're plugged into a usb port, not the old PS2 port where XP is probably looking for it. If you really want to boot XP (huh?) I'd find some vintage hardware on eBay, because I sincerely doubt that XP will run on a newer machine capable of running Win10.
